But the process works differently overseas than it does in the U.S. It also depends on whether you’re traveling or if you live overseas permanently. Have you recently filled a prescription at a military pharmacy? If so, you may know that military pharmacies have different procedures than civilian pharmacies. When a provider issues a new prescription to a military pharmacy, you need to activate the prescription before a pharmacist fills it. Recently, the Defense Health Agency updated its Q-Anywhere feature to make this prescription pickup process easier and more convenient.

Permanent change of station, known in the military as PCS, is a hallmark of military life. But even for seasoned service members, the combination of packing up a household, changing jobs, and uprooting a family can create a perfect storm of anxiety.

The 86th Medical Group is now offering the Novavax COVID-19 vaccine, which has been authorized for emergency use by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, to members 18 years and older in the Kaiserslautern Military Community.

Since Jan. 4, 2021, more than 37,000 COVID-19 vaccines have been administered at Ramstein Air Base, Germany, to Airmen and eligible beneficiaries, with the help of an astounding Airman.
