Exceptional Family Member Program
What is the EFMP?
The EFMP is a program offered by each service to support families with special medical and educational needs throughout the service member’s career. Family members should enroll in EFMP when a qualifying condition is diagnosed. Each branch has its own EFMP and enrollment process.

EFMP at Ramstein
The Ramstein EFMP Medical office assists with enrollment/disenrollment, health care coordination through services on base or in the community to address accessibility and suitability concerns, and the facilitation of family member travel screenings for command sponsorship requests and prior to family member relocation to a new assignment. Our intent is to ensure required services are available. Please contact us for more details or visit https://www.86fss.com/efmp-family-support/efmp-medical/ for more details on our processes.
EFMP family support services are also available at your installation. The family support services team is your main point of contact for non-medical EFMP information. They can connect you with Military and Community Support Services and Resources. Please visit https://www.86fss.com/efmp-family-support/ for details on their program.
