The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.

MEB/PEBLO

Physical Evaluation Board Liaison Officers work in the Medical Evaluation Board office on base. PEBLOs liaise between service members, medical providers, the VA and AFPC.

The MEB coordinates all IRILO/ARILO actions between the active duty service member, his/her commander, their medical providers and AFPC.

The MEB also coordinates all Integrated Disability Evaluation System actions between the active duty service member and his/her commander and disability evaluation appointments for the service member. The PEBLO is the service member’s liaison from the point of initiation of a code 37 until the service member’s return to duty or separation from military service as directed from AFPC.
