Family Advocacy

Our mission is to build healthy communities through implementing programs and policies designed for the prevention and treatment of domestic abuse, child abuse and neglect, and problematic sexual behavior in children and youth. We provide a continuum of services from prevention to treatment designed to reduce domestic abuse and child maltreatment.

We serve active duty, activated guard and reserve members and their eligible dependents. We also offer victim advocacy services to unmarried intimate partners of active duty members.
Services include:
  • Prevention classes
  • Crisis response
  • Safety planning
  • Family violence education
  • Supportive counseling to victims
  • Treatment for offenders
  • Couples and family therapy
In addition to therapeutic services offered by our licensed providers, our response includes 24/7/365 Domestic Abuse Victim Advocacy services. Additionally, our New Parent Support Program provides voluntary nursing services for expectant parents and for those with children under three.

New Parent Support Program

The New Parent Support Program offers information, support, and guidance for new or expecting parents and those with children under age 3. With a team of registered nurses, the NPSP helps in the areas of pregnancy, labor and delivery, child care, and safety. The programs give parents the opportunity to express concerns and ask questions about their infants and young children. Families learn new skills, while improving upon existing ones, with resources taught in the program. NPSP nurses work with parents to arrange home and office visits at times that work for families. Home visits give parents a chance to talk with a professional about their pregnancy and parenting issues in the comfort of their own homes. DOD ID cardholders are eligible to participate of the program.
